Senior Group Controller

Otovo is seeking a Senior Group Controller to join the Finance team. As a Senior Group Controller you will be instrumental in the consolidation and reporting of the financial statements, both internal and external. You have the opportunity to define and develop the financial reporting of the Group, in cooperation with the VP Group Finance. Otovo is a fast-moving company where strategic initiatives impacts financial reporting, and you will be involved in discussing and guiding these initiatives with top management. In addition you will be a close partner for the CFO, other executive team members and the accountants in the Group’s shared service center in Madrid.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for follow up of the financial reporting of the Otovo entities, with the highest complexity, including partnering with local management and help them in matters concerning financial reporting and performance management

• Actively participate in, and lead parts of the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation and reporting of the Group financial statements. The role is expected to gradually take lead of these processes

• Lead the sustainability reporting

• Lead preparation of financial statements and tax returns for 4 Norwegian companies

• Contribute to improving the financial reporting process and related internal controls

• Contribute to IFRS compliance, and assess and document IFRS treatment in relation with new and potential transactions and projects

• Contribute to strategic initiatives (e.g. due diligence relating to acquisitions and divestments, launch of new products or partnerships)

• Support and contribute on VAT, tax and transfer pricing matters across the markets in which the Group has presence

• Lead the external audit process

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in accounting and auditing (MRR)

• Strong academic background, solid analytical skills and a commercial mindset

• 7-10 years’ experience from financial reporting and/or audit, preferably from a large audit firm

• Experience with IFRS and reporting for, or audit of, a listed company

• Prior experience with ERP or consolidation system is a benefit, preferably Oracle Netsuite

• Experienced user of MS Office or G Suite

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
