The Role
As Vice President of Hardware, you will lead the development of Endor Technologies’ proprietary fitness technology, driving the creation of innovative wearable devices that rival industry leaders. You will oversee the entire hardware lifecycle, from concept to production, collaborating closely with design and R&D teams to drive product innovation. Additionally, you will establish and maintain strategic partnerships with manufacturers and oversee the sourcing of components for the production of their fitness hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and manage manufacturers for wearable device production.
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with external partners, including contract manufacturers and suppliers, to ensure seamless operations.
- Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to align with company strategies and goals.
- Partner with software teams to ensure hardware development enhances user experience.
- Optimize inventory and supply chain strategies to reduce costs and meet production demands efficiently.
- Drive continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Develop and present strategic plans and financial reports to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- 5–10+ years in health tech or wellness, with a proven track record in bringing wearable devices to market.
- Expertise in hardware development, specifically in wearable or fitness technology.
- Strong leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
- Proficiency in manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control.
- Established relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and strategic partners.
- In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies in fitness tech and wearables.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
- Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities for stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (FCC, CE, ISO).
- Demonstrated innovation, such as patents or successful product launches.
